Bankruptcy law is
experiencing explosive growth for lawyers
practicing in the field. The numbers of consumer
bankruptcy filings has skyrocketed since Congress
attempted (and failed!) to restrict it in
2005.

certain practice areas, particularly bankruptcy
and litigation, though not at a level to
entirely offset declines in various corporate
practice groups. Firms have taken a conservative
approach to managing expenses, including slowing
hiring, attorney and staff layoffs, and even
closing offices."
